Haiti.

There is a theme throughout these pictures. People. The people of Haiti captured me. Their smiles, their stories, their beauty, their resilient spirits. Although I have much to process from being in Haiti for five short days, I'm confident of the fact that we need each other. Humans, that is. We need touch and smiles and conversation. We need love. This is true across borders and I found myself oddly connected to people, who according to most standards, I have nothing in common with. Yet so much was shared with the people I got to meet, and most was done without words. Simple interactions and motions, laughter, and smiling pointed me to the core of humanity which is love. I don't want to stretch these interactions to make myself sound super profound or falsely wise, but I experienced the need and fulfillment of love in such a new way that connected me to these people in a way I truly didn't expect. Here a select few pictures that happen to be my favorite.
