Wrightsville Beach.

We left at 3:00 a.m. Three hours later, we were approaching the coast, racing the sun. Literally. We got there around 6 a.m. and waited for 14 minutes when the sun rose at precisely 6:14 a.m. Just like weather.com said it would. We basked in the beauty of the rising sun, took hundreds of pictures, and then laid out a blanket and slept. For hours. We did manage to wake up and make our way to our favorite restaurant The Dockside to eat delicious crab cake sandwiches and sweet potato fries before heading back to the beach to lay in the sun some more. Truly the best. I would consider it a perfect day, with one of my favorite friends. I am blessed and here is some proof.

Natalie pinched the sun...
...and then I ate it.
My best friend is beautiful.
and I felt pretty too.
Thank you Jesus for the sun. And for the sea.
Joy.
California is not close. Fact.
