This wedding made it official. I love my job. When I say I was blessed by this wedding, I mean it. Not only did I spend a week at the beach with my friend David Wells and his amazing family and friends, but I was given the opportunity to document the wedding day of David's brother, Chris and his new wife Maggie.
Maggie and Chris began dating in high school (let me hear your collective "aww") and have been in love ever since. Their relationship persevered through four years of long distance during college. They are easily one of the most comfortable couples to be around and they ooze the love of Christ in their interactions with each other and everyone around them. I had to wipe tears from my eyes behind my camera as Maggie and Chris made a commitment before the people who love them the most to make God the center of their marriage and to love each other wholly, selflessly, and sacrificially. An amazing reception followed where Chris surprised Maggie with a song he had written and the guests partied the night away until the fire department showed up. I kid you not.
Maggie and Chris, thank you for inviting me to not only be a part of your wedding day but the week and activities leading up to it. I love that I can call you friends. I hope your time in Mexico was amazing!
Laughing and in love, what is better?
