One of my favorite things about life is the opportunity for adventure every day. When my new friend asked me if I wanted to go to Seattle for the 4th of July with him and his buddy, I couldn't say no. The adventure began at 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning when we began our 5 hour trek from Spokane to Seattle. We made it into town, and headed into the city before noon. Our day consisted of the Space Needle, the original Starbucks, sculptures, Pike's Place, a little rain, and a lot of happy hour. By the end of the day, we were so exhausted we managed to watch about 30 seconds of fireworks on TV, but I fell asleep with a certain fulfillment as I reflected on the adventure life brings. Happy Birthday, America.
I took the trip with these jokers. We laughed all day.
Tourists.
This guy was outside of the original Starbucks where I indulged in an iced coffee.
This image may be one of my proudest. America, I love you.
