Observations and coffee.

An acoustic version of a song by one of my favorite bands is playing in the Rockwood Bakery as I sit and sip coffee in between bites of my cupcake. The people around me are reading. Some of them are quietly talking to the person they met here. My favorite pair to watch is two old ladies. It makes me wonder what I’ll be like when I’m their age. Watching them makes me think about the wisdom they’ve acquired. From simply just living so many years of life. I wonder about their romances. I make up stories in my head about how they fell in love with their respective husbands. I think about the hardships they’ve endured and the joys they’ve gotten to experience. One of the women moves her chair forward, you can tell that such a simple task isn’t as easy as it once was. Her friend smiles, she smiles, and their enjoyment of each other remains as I finish up my coffee and leave the shop.

I took this picture in Coeur D'Alene and I love it.
