It started with a break-up. I was broken, yet hopeful. Lonely, yet not in despair. It was during that emotional week that I began to dream. I dreamed of my very own wedding photography business and I really didn't know where to go from there. That weekend when I went home to nurse my hurting heart, a dear friend of mine asked me to shoot her wedding. My very first wedding. Fast forward to January, I shot the wedding, officially fell in love with photography and had a desire to learn more about the business. Thus, I signed up for an independent study to do just that. In that independent study, my professor showed me a photographer he knew who lived in Washington. I contacted this photographer to tell him I liked him pictures and wanted to learn from him. From that email, the theoretical ball began rolling and we planned for me to intern with him. On May 22 I graduated from college and exactly one month later I boarded a plane to Spokane, Washington. After four months, a lot of photography, amazing new relationships, several road-trips, a deeper love and trust in God, and more adventure than I could have ever asked for, my time here is quickly coming to a close. Tracing back through time to see how I ended up where I am today is one of the most fun things. And you know what? I'm so thankful for that break-up.
